Pathways in Medicine with Open House Event
Louisville, KY (April 9, 2024) – The Master of Science in Medical Science (MSMS) program at Simmons College of Kentucky proudly announces an Open House scheduled for April 10, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Aimed at addressing the underrepresentation of African American practitioners in the medical field, this esteemed premed program opens its doors to all individuals dedicated to the pursuit of a medical degree.
“Our MSMS program was born out of a necessity to bridge the diversity gap in healthcare,” said Dr. Tashika Carlton, program director, Master of Science in Medical Science, Simmons College of Kentucky. “While we focus on elevating students of color, our doors are open to anyone committed to the journey of becoming a medical doctor. It’s about inclusion and providing equal opportunities for all aspiring healthcare professionals.”
Attendees of the Open House will explore the ways in which Simmons College of Kentucky equips its students for medical school success, regardless of background. Held at the Administration & Library Building, 1000 S. 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40203, the event promises to be a cornerstone for prospective students looking to make a difference in the medical community.
