SIMMONS COLLEGE
MARCHING FALCONS
We Move to Our Own Beat
The Simmons College of Kentucky Marching Falcons are dedicated to providing outstanding musical experiences and opportunities for students to learn and grow outside the classroom. Since its beginning in 2015, the Simmons College band program has helped hundreds of students mature into well-rounded adults, professionals, and agents of change for society.
Falcon Fame
The Marching Falcons have performed for hundreds of thousands of people across the region, making notable annual appearances in the African American Heritage Parade, the Kentucky Derby Festival Pegasus Parade, University of Louisville’s Homecoming parade, Cordon’s Christmas Parade, and more. They also perform at all Simmons College men’s and women’s basketball games and have been known to make special guest appearances at other HBCU football games, at church and in community celebrations.

THE SATIN RHYTHM DANCE TEAM
The Satin Rhythm Dancers are more than their glamorous, choreographed performances — they are the on-field personification of the Simmons College Marching Falcons’ music.
Led by longtime HBCU dance team coach Stefanie Kirtley, the Simmons’ dance team is a show-style, energetic force to be reckoned with.
For more information on how to get involved, contact Coach Kirtley.
