Empowering Innovative Teaching and Learning for an Educational Experience in the Digital Era
Online learning is a unique and rewarding experience allowing a person to attend classes at their convenience at any time and place with access to a computer network. The Digital Teaching and Learning Center (DTAL)— established in 2021— is a multifaceted and innovative distance and online education hub at Simmons College of Kentucky.
The DTAL Center is committed to educational excellence and creating a positive online learning experience for all students, faculty, and the greater community. We employ a vast learning ecosystem of pedagogically appropriate, emerging technologies and research-based best practices from a Black-centered and social justice lens to provide online academic offerings, resources and tools, guidance, continuous improvement of technological infrastructure, and professional development training for faculty with stackable credentials throughout the year.
